The Pull
Exhibited as part of ‘Testing Space’ group show Cross Street Arts at Pyramid Gallery Warrington, 2015.
Artists from Cross Street Arts were invited to collaborate with Pyramid to generate work responding in any medium to the building, it’s history and the physical space within.

The Pull explores the concept of making artworks from the very objects that make artworks. The aim is to celebrate the beauty in these forms and capture the process of making, elevating these functional instruments to the level of beauty usually associated with the finished artwork. I enjoy the story of these forms and the traces of those who have touched and worked with them. To me there is an essential beauty in them, a connectedness between artist, instrument and the moment of creation. I wanted to bring something of that moment and the artist’s space to the exhibition space.
